The Goal:
SATRIA TD is an internal task management system developed to replace a manual workflow with a fully digital application. I was responsible for end-to-end UI/UX design and frontend development using Laravel, Vue.js, and React Native. The application was built to enhance usability for field officers and administrative staff, improving task tracking, reporting, and operational efficiency within the Malaysian military environment.

The Challenge:
With over 30 modules planned across five distinct phases, the project required meticulous attention to detail and a robust strategy for implementation. A crucial initial step involved extensive client engagement, including numerous meetings to thoroughly document existing workflows and identify pain points. We needed to map out the intricate flow of information and tasks within the military's current operations, understanding every nuance before digitalizing. Furthermore, the diverse technical proficiencies of the end-users, ranging from administrative staff to field officers, necessitated a design that was both sophisticated for complex tasks and intuitively simple for everyday use. Security was paramount, requiring robust measures to protect sensitive operational data. Finally, ensuring cross-platform consistency for both web and mobile users while maintaining a high level of performance was a crucial technical hurdle, given the sheer scale and criticality of the application.

The Result
The SATRIA TD App successfully transformed task management for the Malaysian military, delivering a comprehensive digital solution that exceeded initial expectations. The application provided real-time, centralized task tracking, enabling significantly more accurate and timely reporting compared to the previous manual system. Operational efficiency saw a marked improvement due to streamlined workflows, automated task assignments, and instant information access, leading to faster decision-making and reduced administrative overhead. Field officers experienced enhanced productivity and usability, as the mobile-first design allowed them to manage and report on tasks directly from their devices, even in remote locations. The modular and component-based UI architecture ensured the application's scalability and ease of maintenance, positioning it as a long-term, adaptable tool for the military. Ultimately, the SATRIA TD App not only replaced a cumbersome manual process but also empowered users with a powerful, intuitive platform, fundamentally improving the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of military operations.
